HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Palm Desert - El Paseo Press Packet El Paseo Pavement Rehabilitation Press Kit Newsletter: This summer, the City of Palm Desert is giving El Paseo a fresh new look — with upgrades designed to make the street smoother, safer, and even more enjoyable for visitors. The project includes full roadway resurfacing, removal of storm gutters for a more comfortable drive, and the addition of three beautiful raised mid-block crosswalks to enhance pedestrian safety. Two-way traffic is flowing, sidewalks are accessible, and there’s plenty of convenient parking behind the shops. While traffic patterns may shift near work zones, it’s still easy to explore everything El Paseo has to offer. The work is being completed in five carefully planned phases and is expected to wrap up by late September. In the meantime, we invite you to continue shopping, dining, and enjoying El Paseo — and experience all the exciting improvements as they take shape. Please follow posted signs and allow extra time, as traffic patterns may shift near active construction zones. This work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September and will result in a smoother, safer, and more welcoming El Paseo for everyone.
