Unless otherwise specified, Palm Desert residency is required to serve. However, non-residents may be appointed when specific expertise is needed. Additional qualifications and requirements may apply, as outlined in the Palm Desert Municipal Code. ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMISSION This commission is responsible for reviewing the architecture and landscape design of all commercial and residential development, as well as proposed modifications, to ensure consistency with the City’s objectives and policies. The Commission consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. The Board consists of five (5) members appointed by the City Council. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. Meetings are held semi-annually at 11:00 a.m. and more frequently as needed. The Board consists of 11 members, with one (1) member appointed by the Palm Desert City Council. Staff Liaison: Anthony Mejia, City Clerk Email: amejia@palmdesert.gov Phone: 760-776-6304 Member Original Appointment Term Expiration COACHELLA VALLEY MULTIPLE SPECIES HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN TRAILS MANAGEMENT SUBCOMMITTEE This subcommittee was established in 2008 to provide input on trails-related issues associated with the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (CVMSHCP). It makes recommendations to the Coachella Valley Conservation Commission (CVCC), the agency responsible for implementing the CVMSHCP. One (1) member is appointed by the Palm Desert City Council to serve on the Subcommittee. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council, along with two non-voting liaison members selected from the Architectural Review Commission and the Planning Commission. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. Members must be part of the El Paseo business area. It consists of up to seven (7) members: two City Council members and up to five (5) community members appointed by the City Council. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council, including: two members of the business community, two community members (one with lived experience of homelessness), one at-large member, the Chair of the Public Safety Committee, and the Chair of the Housing Commission or their designees appointed annually. Meetings are held semi-annually. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. Two members must be tenants of the Housing Authority, and one of the tenant members must be at least 62 years of age. One (1) member is appointed by the Palm Desert City Council to represent the City on the Board of Directors. Members serve two-year terms and are limited to three consecutive terms, not to exceed six years. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. Meetings are held quarterly. The Board’s primary role is to lease, operate, and manage the restaurant and bar at Desert Willow Golf Resort. Members serve a one-year term or until a successor is appointed. Meetings are held annually on the second Monday of June at 11:00 a.m. Member Original Appointment Term Expiration PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT This commission is managed by the City of Palm Springs and performs duties outlined in Palm Springs Municipal Code Section 2.16.060. It consists of nineteen (19) members, including one (1) representative appointed by the Palm Desert City Council. Appointees are subject to term limits established by the City of Palm Springs.
