Residents with a cord pay $52 per round. Applying for a Resident Golf Card The Desert Recreation District is responsible for verifying residency and issuing cords. Stop by the Palm Desert Community Center located at 43-900 Son Pablo Ave., in Palm Desert, Monday - Friday, 6 o.m. to 8 p.m., or Saturday, 10 o.m. to 2 p.m. Information: (760) 568-9697 Expiration, Renewal, and Fees All cords expire annually at the end of the month in which they were issued. Residents con renew cords one month prior to expiration. Proof of residency and payment of the processing fee is required annually. All documents outlined under "Proof of Residency Criteria" must be provided at time of renewal. Please bring your current cord with you when renewing. If you do not present your cord at the time of renewal, it will be considered lost or stolen and you will be required to pay a replacement fee. Determining Residency Residency is determined by a person's primary residence according to California Vehicle Code, Section 12505. Resident Golf Cords will only be issued to residents who qualify by providing proof of this status. Residency is not automatically established by ownership of property in Palm Desert, nor is it based on ownership of or employment with a Palm Desert business. Proof of Residency Criteria All applicants must provide the following documentation to obtain the Resident Golf Cord: 1.Valid California Drivers License (CDL) or California Identification Cord (CID) with a physical Palm Desert address; and 2.Current utility bill, i.e., gos, water, or electric (not more than 30 days old/non-commercial properties) reflecting the Palm Desert service address. *Both the CDUCID and utility bill must reflect the some name and physical Palm Desert address.
