Welcome to the City of Palm Desert!
Palm Desert is a resort community with residents and visitors who enjoy the city’s tranquil environment. This brochure is provided to allow everyone to enjoy Palm Desert, whether they
live here year-round or are visiting. Use common courtesy and respect the neighborhood where you are staying to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.
Age Requirement
Short-term renters must be at least 25 years of age and are legally responsible for ensuring that all occupants and their guests comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Good Neighbor Guidelines Noise
The City prohibits the use of radios, musical instruments, sound systems and other sound-emitting devices outside a home or rental property between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m.
Trash
Trash and refuse shall not be stored within public view except in proper containers for collection.
Parking
Renters and guests must park in the garage, carport, or driveway of the property. Public street parking is prohibited at all times. Private streets in gated HOAs, enforced by HOA’s CCR’s.
Dogs
All dogs are to be on leashes whenever they are in unenclosed areas. Barking dogs often result in neighbor complaints.
