However, if you are a business owner or operator with concerns regarding individuals or criminal activity on your property, there are resources available to help. As a business owner or operator, you are responsible for activities that occur on your property. This reference card provides information on how to protect your property, who to call for follow up and resources for homeless individuals in need of help. For more information, call the City’s Homeless and Supportive Services Manager at (760) 776-6324. Post signs on your property such as “No Trespassing.” Secure trash enclosures. Reduce foliage that may be used as hiding places for people/property. Ensure adequate lighting, especially in/around potential hiding places. Submit No Trespass Letter to Sheriff’s Department Increase presence or implement private security measures. Do not feed or give money to non-patrons.
