RESIDENTIAL SEWER CONNECTION VIRTUAL INSPECTION CHECKLIST
This criteria is intended for a virtual new sewer connection inspection. This does not
apply to new construction. This checklist must be completed and signed before
submitting to the City for inspection (See virtual inspection handout for submittal
instructions).
1. Provide a picture of the entire front of the residence.
2. Provide a close-up picture of the house address.
3. Provide a picture of the overall area where the septic tank is located. The septic must be
uncovered and ready to abandon.
4. Provide a picture of the abandoned septic filled and ready to be backfilled.
5. Provide pictures of sewer lateral branches and connections. Include all clean outs and connection
to the CVWD sewer.
6. Provide a picture of the backfilled and completed landscaping.
7. Upload a PDF file of the pump ticket.
8. Provide pictures of the smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors compliant with CRC R314
and R315 (See City Handout if necessary for specifications and locations) or Smoke/Carbon
Declaration.
I understand and affirm that the above information regarding the residential sewer
connection is true and accurate. During the review of the provided photographs the
inspector may require a video virtual or in person inspection. The inspector will provide
specific instruction, if necessary.
