INTEREST *OF 1% ON TAX DUE RECEIVED AS DELINQUENT:..$__________________________ * Per PDMC 3.50.090; a, the return shall be filed not later than the close of business on the day that is thirty (30) calendar days following the last day of the preceding calendar month. Per PDMC 3.50.100; a, penalty equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the amount of tax plus one percent (1%) interest on the unpaid tax calculated from the due date of the tax. For payments made after the close of business on the day that is thirty (30) calendar days following the last day of the preceding calendar month add an additional penalty of 25% plus 1% interest for the delinquency. Interest shall be calculated at the rate of one percent per month on the total amount due and shall not exceed twelve percent (12%) of the amount of tax due. 5. TOTAL AMOUNTS DUE AND PAYABLE: ………………………….$__________________________ The City of Palm Desert does not have the capacity to handle cash transactions in excess of $2,500. Payments that include cash are therefore limited to $2,500 per month. The City accepts a wide range payment methods including Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Wire Transfer Payments, Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments, Checks and Money Orders, and in some cases credit card payments. The City will also consider payment methods that may be provided by a third party. Third party payment method must be approved in writing by the City’s Finance Director prior to the acceptance of any payment utilizing said method.
