As the city continues to expand, strengthening fire services remains a top priority to ensure the well-being of residents. Located on Gerald Ford Drive near Frank Sinatra Drive, Fire Station 102 will be Palm Desert’s fourth fire station, strategically positioned to provide faster and more efficient responses to medical emergencies, fires, and other urgent incidents in the growing north Palm Desert area. This critical expansion is made possible by Measure G, a voter-approved initiative funding essential city services and infrastructure projects. Groundbreaking on the state-of-the-art 11,400 square-foot facility is set to occur in April, and completion is expected by late 2025. Road and bike lane improvements in the surrounding area will also accompany the project. This milestone represents the city’s ongoing commitment to public safety and preparedness, ensuring that Palm Desert remains a safe and thriving community for years to come.
